This floor was a fun one to complete! We polished the basement in this cabin outside Nederland Colorado.

The customer had a topical stain and high build sealer applied 5 years ago. The color and sealer had started peeling and was in rough shape.

After meeting with the client and talking through options we settled on polishing and staining the concrete. They had a decorative saw cut border in the main space and through samples we decided to enhance this unique character by staining that border a different color than the rest of the floor. After our 200 grit resin we carefully prepped off the area surrounding the border and stained the border a diluted Prosoco Light Roast stain. That prep was pulled, border itself was prepped off, and we stained the rest of the floor with Prosoco Antique Cork. Floor was then densified with Prosoco LS, rest of the polishing grits were completed, and the floor was sealed with Prosoco Polishguard. We finished out the process by burnishing the floor to help lock in sealer and bring the shine to life.

The final result was a beautiful floor ready to stand the test of time! It added great light reflectively to the space giving it a more open feel and really tied into the cabin feel.
